Connect + Flow

Beach yoga + ocean dip + community circle
Join us for a monthly meet up to disconnect from the stresses or busy-ness of everyday life, and reconnect with yourself and community.
Surround yourself with the sounds of nature on an idyllic beach, hidden below two walking paths enveloped by salt-swept brush.
Connect your mind, body and breath with a yoga flow, grounding your toes into the sand with fresh ocean breeze filling your lungs, followed by a cold plunge into the water to stimulate your nervous system.
Share in circle to develop and strengthen community, building relationships with others and with ourselves.
Reap the benefits of spending time in nature, moving your body, diving into the cold ocean, and connecting with others.
We’ll meet at the top of the walking track for “Coastal Beach”, or “Spoon Rocks”, located on Caves Beach Rd, just past Copper Valley Cl. There should be plenty of street parking, but if not, you can park at the Caves Beach lot before Copper Valley Cl.
8:30 am: Meet at the top of the walking track on Caves Beach Rd, just past Copper Valley Cl. We’ll head down the walking track together, which takes about 15 minutes.
9:00 am – 9:45 am: 45 minute beach yoga session. This Hatha style yoga session will incorporate balance, strength, and heart-opening asanas, and will be suitable for all levels.
9:45 am – 10:00 am: Ocean dip and snack. BYO snack to recharge after your yoga session and before we begin our Circle.
10:00 – 11:00 am: Facilitated circle. Please come prepared to contribute to our circle – to be vulnerable, open, and empathetic towards others.
11:00 – 11:30am: Walk back.

- WHAT IF I’VE NEVER DONE YOGA?
That’s okay! Our classes are suited for anyone from beginners to experienced practitioners. Our beach yoga sessions are gentle and relaxing, with some strength and balancing asanas incorporated. You can always take a child’s pose if anything gets too challenging.
2. DO I HAVE TO SWIM?
Absolutely not! We won’t force you into the ocean.
3. WHAT SORT OF TOPICS WILL WE DISCUSS IN CIRCLE?
Circle is about getting to know each other on deeper levels. We’ll self-reflect, share stories, and discuss topics around growth, personal development, and giving back (not all at once).
4. HOW DIFFICULT IS THE WALK DOWN?
The path down to the beach is paved almost the entire way, with a slow and steady decline. There is only one steeper section of the path, that extends about 6 or 7 meters. The walk takes around 15 minutes.
